This coming Tuesday is Veteran’s Day. Since campus is basically closed and we won’t be getting our normal room we’ll be going on a fieldtrip to Sawtelle instead! For you dormies, it’s your chance to visit Sawtelle, eat awesome food, and stop by Nijiya for some Japanese snacks and goodies.
Meet at Ackerman Turnaround at 5:30PM. You’ll be heading over to Sawtelle with your families.

The first MASSIVE family competition is here! Come out and show all of NSU that your family is the best. We’ll be playing various games to prove which family dominates in the athletic realm. Don’t forget to sport your family colors.
If you haven’t been placed into a family or just haven’t heard which family you’re in, come out anyways and we’ll put you in one.

When?: Thursday (11/6) 9PM-2AM
Meltdown is NSU’s largest clubbing event of the quarter. It’s hosted by the Intercollegiate Nikkei Council (INC) so NSU’s from all over Southern California will be there (UCSD, USC, UCR, UCI, CSULB, Cal Poly Pomona, LMU). Tickets are on sale at the NSU table on Bruinwalk. We’ll be arranging for a couple of buses to take people out to Long Beach so buy your tickets early (the buses will fill up quickly).

NSU will be playing in UCI Tomo no Kai’s Vollin’ @ the Arc volleyball this coming Saturday. The team is still looking for girls who would like to play. APC (Asian Pacific Coalition) will be holding their Leadership Development Round Table today from 6-8PM. This week’s topic will be on Voting, Props, and APIs. They will be discussing the upcoming election, the propositions, and how they specifically affect the API community. They will also be providing votor guides from the Asian Pacific Policy and Planning Council.

Well, we’re gonna take a trip out to Universal Studios for the Halloween Horror Nights thing. Tickets start at $44 for group rate, BUT we might be able to get a coke discount or something.
Anyway, we need to know ASAP if you are interested in going so that we can order tickets cuz they sell out!! We’ll try to order by Tuesday. We’ll have a sign-up sheet at the NSU table on bruinwalk Monday & Tuesday, so drop by!
